We relocated to the Fresno area this past March 2007. I found Tom Avent while I was up here just "window shopping" before my move was definite in February. I called a number that I had seen on a property for sale, and that was my first contact with Tom. Once my plans were more concrete I remembered Tom and I sent him an email asking if he could assist us in a search for a new home. I chose Tom because back in Feb. he was the only realtor not in a hurry to rush me off of the phone; he took some time to talk about the prospective property and the real estate market in general. We carried on several email conversations over the next month or so before we got to the actual shopping for a home stage. Finally the day arrived, we came into town on a Friday, pre-approval letter in hand; we met with Tom at noon. We had expressed what we were interested in, and Tom was prepared with a list of several homes. We drove from property to property looking at the positives and the negatives; it took most of the day. The very last property that we looked at was a real jewel, we knew immediately that it was the home that we wanted. That afternoon, we sat down with Tom and we wrote up an offer for the property. Before 8:00 pm that same evening we had a deal, we were so excited to be buying a home that was perfect for us, and really beyond anything that we had hoped for. The house was in escrow the very next day. We have been in our home a little over a month now, and we are still reveling in our great find, we love our new home and we have Tom to thank for it. Debra K.
